Heather's bright yellow tank top and white mini skirt looked out of place on the courtyard grounds in which she was laying down on. After showing up late she figured there was no point in attending her first block classes and instead decided to hang around outside. Although everything around her seemed to be dark and gloomy, Heather's good mood could not be dampened. Today was the last day of school, Friday, and she planned on lounging around and just hanging out with Winter or Joe.
Her brown hair was spread out on the ground as was the rest of her body and she looked kind of funny laying like this. Heather's hands were behind her head and her eyes were focused on the clouds up above her. Heather's mind was trying to think of what to do with her free time and she didn't even notice when someone else was walking on the courtyard grounds heading towards her.

Joe couldn't contain the happiness in him. It was the last day of school and he was going to be spending most of his free time with his baby girl Heather. He saw her laying on the ground and had to go over and bug her. He ran over and laid down next to her. "So what are we looking at?" He asked her smiling. He couldn't believe how lucky he was to have such a cute girl. He was one lucky man. "Sooooo what do you want to do today. I think we should do something with Winter I haven't seen her in forever and I think she is avoiding me." He said he didn't mention the stuff that happened at the rivercourt the other day.

Heather jumped a little at the sound of someone's voice, but realizing who it was, she smiled sweetly. The day just kept getting better and better. "Well, hello stranger." she joked, moving to lay her head on Joe's chest. "The sky. It's so big...like there's another world out there. One we haven't found yet." Heather smiled and twisted her head to look at Joe. "She's kind of avoided me too. Ever since she found out about me and you."

He sighed and looked down at her. "I will talk to her about it." He said he kissed her forehead. "Sooo what do you want to do then." He said to her and tickled her side some.

"Okay." Heather giggled whenever Joe tickled her side. "As long as I'm with you, it doesn't matter." She smiled and looked back up at the sky.

He pulled her closer. "I just want to stay here and look at the sky with you." He said and kissed her forehead. "You don't think I am to mean do you?" He asked her.

Heather smiled and grabbed Joe's hand, holding it over her stomach. "Sounds like a plan to me." she said smiling. It seemed like she was always doing that around Joe, but his next question made her uneasy. He had never been mean to her, but he knew how he acted around Craig. Still, she couldn't just come out and ask him to be nicer to people on the West Side. She didn't know how he would react to that. "I...uh...well, your...um...never mean around me." she said slightly uneasily.

He sighed and looked down. "I know I am never mean to you but what about to other people. I know I have the reputation of a bad guy but I don't like that. I don't like being known as the Bad Boy anymore. I want to be a good guy. I just think that there is to much bad history against me." He said sighing again.

"Joe...." Heather didn't know what to say. She didn't know if he was being serious or just saying this because he wanted to make Heather like him more. She was kind of confused. "if you want to be the good guy, then be him. No one can tell you how to act or anything. So what if you don't have a great past? Just answer me this...." Heather paused and sat up, turning her body to face Joe and then holding his hand in her's. "Do you really want to change though?"

He looked her in the eyes. "Yes I don't want to have to keep looking behind my back wondering when the next time I am going to be attacked. I know that I am never going to be friends with Craig and all them but I don't want them to hate me and decide that they want to attack me. I can see them doing that and I don't want to see anything happen to you because of the fall out." He said sighing. "Also Winter I want to be a better Twin I want to be a better person for her to look up to and lean on if something happens." He said.

Heather bit her lip, not sure what to make of this change. Joe had always been the one to fight with the West Side. It was just in his nature. "Winter and I have dealt with this our whole lives. You don't have to do this." It wasn't that Heather didn't want Joe to try to get along, but she didn't know what to make of it all. It's not everyday that someone comes out and says 'I want to get along with the West Side'. Especially considering...

He sighed again he had been doing that a lot lately. "Alright but I am going to try my best to not be rude to them. actually probably avoiding them all together would be a good thing. Or at least the guys so they can't just up and kick my ass when they want to." He said.

"Well, if you want to make a change....I'm all for it. I just don't know....well, just be careful." Making a change would also mean not fighting with the West Side. That could also mean getting hurt by not defending yourself. Heather just didn't want anything to happen to him.

He nodded his head. He knew exactly what it would mean and he be lying if he didn't say that if any confrontation happened if wanted to make up he wouldn't be able to fight back. He held her face in his hands. "I will be completely careful I promise." He said kissing her nose.

A sweet smile graced Heather's face. "You better not." she said in a teasing voice, but she wasn't joking in the least. She really didn't want anything to happen to Joe. He was different than anyone else. And even Carmen approved and Carmen rarely approved of any guy that Heather dated...East or West side. She squeezed his hand and started to think. Someone earlier had asked Heather what her weakness was and, of course, she didn't say. That would be like completely selling out. So she had started to wonder if Joe had a weakness.
