Beep, Beep
An iv was dripping fluids into Heather's body as she lay there, unconsious. The doctor had came in earlier and told everyone in the waiting room that they could see her, but it didn't look good. Heather was suffering from a minor concussion and although the chances of her waking up were great, there was also a possibility that she wouldn't.
Inside Heather's room, she looked lifeless. She wasn't breathing and she looked even paler than usual.
Beep, Beep
The iv kept dripping.

Joe walked in and took hold of her hand and held it. He continued to ignore the pains coming from her stomach and the blood dripping on the floor. He refused to leave her side. He felt a little dizzy but shook it off. He held her hand and whispered to her. "Baby I am not going anywhere I am staying right here until you wake up and open those beautiful eyes."

Carmen put a hand to her mouth when she walked into the room Heather had been taken into. She couldn't believe the condition she was in. If Heather could see herself, she would sure as hell be shocked. Carmen had never seen her sister so pale before. She had never seen her so...lifeless before. Normally Heather was up and about, full of life.
"What...What happened?" Carmen stuttered as she choked back tears, standing just inside the door.

Joe sat there not able to answer. He didn't even realize that Carmen was in the room until she spoke. "I don't know how but somehow she ended up in the West Side part of town and she was followed and attacked by some guy. He threw a rock that I am sure was suppose to hit me but it hit Heather instead." He said "I got her here as fast as I could." He said and than gave a massive winch in pain. He looked down on the ground and there was a big puddle of blood underneath him. He was getting really dizzy now. He ignored it though and pretended like nothing was wrong. He hoped Carmen didn't see the blood.

She waited as patiently as she could for an answer as to what happened to her sister, but nothing seemed to be coming. She just wanted to know if she was ok, but even Joe didn't seem to be 'with it' at the moment. When she saw the blood on the floor, Carmen had to hold back further tears, as well as her gag reflexes. Carefully, she moved over to him, "Whats wrong?...." Looking at both her sister and her best friend, was just to much for her. Nevermind hospitals, Carmen could barely stand the site of blood, and this was no exception.

He finally gave into the pain and winched grabbing his stomach. He felt so dizzy. "Get a doctor" he said to Carmen. He knew exactly what was wrong. The times that he felt the pain when he was fighting with the guy he had been stabbed in the stomach with a knife. He had been stabbed two times. "Please Carmen get a doctor." He said in a weak voice. Joseph had never been weak in his life but he was feeling it now.

Taking a step back, Carmen wiped a single tear from the corner of her eye and exited the room to find a nurse, before something else happened to someone she cared about.
A couple minutes later, Carmen returned practically dragging a nurse by the arm, "Whats wrong?" She asked, pointing to the blood next to Joe.

The nurse rushed over to Joseph and despite his protests she lifted his shirt and all she found was blood. "I see to pretty deep stab wounds. We need to get this handled." She said Joseph tried to stand up but collasped back into the car. "DOCTORS!" She screamed. Two rushed in and he was moved from the chair to the stretcher. He was wheeled away into surgery. The nurse turned back to Carmen. "Don't worry you sister and friend are going to be fine." She said and left the room.
~Skipping 4 hours.~ They wheeled in Joseph and put him into the bed next to Heather. He was out of it from the pain killers they had him asleep.

Carmen haden't even gotten the chance to ask the nurses what was going on with her sister and Joe before they took Joe out of the room and brought him back a while later on a bed. He was out like a light, just like Heather.
Now what? Wait? See who lives? Figure out what happened by herself? Carmen couldn't even figure out why Heather had gone to the west side. It wasn't in her nature. But there had to be SOME story behind it all. She wanted to know why Heather haden't called her to come get her...They were sisters for crying out loud, Heather knew she could have called Carmen with a problem and she would have been there with a snap of the fingers.
Instead of going to find someone, she found a seat out in the hall, and sat down, curling her legs under neath of her. This was the one time she didn't know who, or where to go. The only person she had was Heather, and even then, Heather couldn't help her.

Winter ran to the hospital reception desk. "What room is Joseph Scott in?" She asked. She was on the verge of tears. She got a call from the hospital telling her that her brother was in the hospital but wouldn't say why. "He is in room 432H." She said. Winter smiled sadly and ran there. She found Carmen and hugged her. "What happened who did this happen?" She asked.

Running footsteps could be heard echoing down the halls. Carmen figured someone else must have been brought it from an accident, but she turned up to be wrong, when Winter rounded the corner and pulled her into a hug.
Although Carmen didn't hug her back, she didn't reply to much either. She simply shrugged, and wiped a few tears from her already puffy red eyes, "I dunno...." If Winter and Joe knew that Heathers, and her parents weren't around anymore, they would know just how lost Carmen felt at the moment, but they didn't so it didnt make it any easier. And she wasn't about to explain it either. It was their little secret and they intended on keeping it that way.

Winter felt her heart sink she felt bad for Carmen. "Its okay they are going to be okay." She said. She stood up and headed into the room. She walked over and sat down next to Joseph's bed. She took his hand into hers and squeezed it. "I am here Twin brother I promise. You can't leave me I won't let you do that." She said tears spilling down her cheeks. She didn't want to cry but she couldn't help it they just kept coming and coming. She tried to desperately wipe them away but she couldn't get the flow.

Heather stirred in her bed and awoke with a scream of pain. The needles in her body moved and it hurt....a LOT. Heather didn't scream anything specific, just for someone to take the needles out of her body. Though those weren't exactly her words. Her body was still as pale as ever and as soon as Heather turned her head she noticed Joe next to her, passed out from the drugs. Tears fell from her eyes as the memories came flooding back and the screaming stopped.

Joe woke up with a start when someone started screaming. He looked over to see Heather looking at him. "Baby you're up." He said and tried to get out of bed but Winter wouldn't let go of his hand. She had her had on his chest and was sleeping. "How long has she been here?" Asked Joe. They were close enough that if Joe moved as close as he could to the side they could reach out their hands and hold them.

Carmen had stayed outside the room. She couldn't bare to see her sister like that, so she stayed curled up on the waiting chair outside the room. She needed sleep, so as soon as Winter had gone to see Joe, she had drifted into a slumber, only to wake to screams.
She jumped from her chair and looked around at the long halls leading to other rooms. Realizing where she was again, Carmen hopped off her chair and ran into the room where Heather lay. Seeing her sister awake, she rushed to her side, "Shh," She hushed, glancing out the door to see if any nurses had heard her cries. Carmen turned back to her sister and smiled wearily, "You'll be ok...." She grabbed her hand and pulled up a chair.
Glancing over to Joe and Winter, she also noticed that Winter's twin had been awoken, "Hey Joe..." she cooed, in a gentle voice.
