Night on the town -Westsider-

Ah, the pizza parlor. Not technically considered a hang out to a group of west siders, but it was a great place to have a relaxing meal, and try out some of the cities best pizza. Pepperoni, cheese, deluxe! You name it they had it. You could pick up a quarter and stick it in the old jukebox if you wanted to also!

The place couldn't be considered, 'run down' per say, but it was old enough. With its brick exterior, and old neon sign flashing "THE Pizzaria" it was a hard to miss restaurant on the lower streets of West Side Copperside.

Indoors, the smells of baking dough, with a hint of melting cheese, tangy pizza sauce and sweet drinks, could easily be detected. These were the smells, Stephy had only recognized as her regular Friday night dinner.

Since she had moved to Copperside, a mere couple of months ago, Stephy had made a point of coming to the pizza parlor every chance she could. Not only did they deliver appetizing meals, but the feel of the place seemed to relax her some. It was never jam packed, and it was never empty. Everytime she had come for a pizza, the place was mildly filled. With a few couples at the corner tables, a group of friends at the middle tables, and Stephy finding any open table she could, it seemed the perfect place to just sit and think, not to mention watch the lights of passing cars, fly by the windows.

As she entered the parlor through the front doors, she noticed how little people seemed to be up for a small pepperoni pizza or whatever suit their mood. Altogether their seemed to be 5 or 6 people. Less than usual. She gave a slightly confused look, expecting it to be busier, and moved to an open table, this time finding one in the far corner of the pizzaria, close to a nearby street window. From here she could observe the people passing by, and the unusual movements in near by streets.

"Welcome back deary" Came the voice of the waitress who had regular shifts whenever Stephy came in, "What can I get for ya?" She was wearing a pair of jeans, and a black t-shirt, with a pair of runners, not to mention the black apron around her waist.

"Um...Just a pepsi for now please," She replied in her usual respectful tone.

The waitress nodded and smiled, not bothering to jot it down on her pad of paper. With that she walked off to the kitchen to get her drink.

It was 9 pm, and as Stephy waited patiently for her refreshment, people came and went...Mostly leaving for the night. And by the time her drink came, there were 5 people left. An elderly couple sharing what seemed to be a medium meatlovers, a business man obviously picking up a late dinner after work, a guy she had seen around town but never actually spoke to, and herself.

Until the door to the pizzaria opened...

[Craig Dice]

Craig pushed the door open lightly and walked in. A small cut beneathe his eye was all that remained off his run in with Joe the previous week. He walked up to the counter and order a small cheese pizza, he wasn't really that hungry. But after passing the pizzaria the smell had drawn him in, so he couldn't resist!


He turned and scanned the tables, unsure who to sit with. Then he noticed the girl he had seen that day, so he decided to join her. He walked up to her table and wavered infront of it for a moment.
"Urm, excuse me? Mind if I join you?"

At the time, Stephy had her blue eyes locked on the streets outside the nearby window. When a voice next to her spoke up, she turned her head to face them. Seeing as it was the guy who had been kind enough to help her to her classes, she nodded, "Um...Sure..Why not?" She smiled and gestured to the seat across from her.

Just as he sat down, the waitress came back with her drink, placing it on the table in front of her. Steph nodded a thanks and played with the straw placed between the ice cubes in her cup.

"Your not...Stalking me...Are you?" She asked jokingly, with a hint of sarcasim and humor. She flashed yet another bright smile and took a sip of her pop.

[Craig Dice]

"Cheers!" Craig smiled and slid into the seat she had gestured.He rested his hands together on the table as the waitress delivered Stephy's drink. Then he asked her for his own, a diet coke with ice and no lemon.

He released a small laugh from his lips as to what she said.
"What gave it away?" He winked at her playfully.

Stephy took a breather from her drink, and looked at him, a miscivous smile playing across her face, "Well I dunno...I'd say there was no need to....Kinda obvious your stalking me if you know what I mean." She laughed, "Its Craig right? Your name?" She was pretty sure she had guessed right, but wanted to make sure she knew who he was before she screwed it up.

[Craig Dice]

He snapped his fingers pretending to be annoyed. Then spoke in a playful voice!
"Damn, caught again! Boss en't gonna be pleased!" A grin spread across his features as the same waiter placed his drink infront off him. He took a sip and listened to what Stephy had to say.
"Yup, the names Craig. And If my sorces are correct, your name is Steph?"

Letting out a laugh at the word 'sources', Steph nodded in reply, "Yes...My names Steph. Don't tell your boss you had to ask though. And I promise my lips are sealed..." She used her fingers to impersonate zipping her lips shut, and smiled an innocent smile.

"So...What brings you to the chair across from me?" She asked with a hint of humor in her voice.

[Craig Dice]

Craig put a finger to his own lips and nodded in agreement, then withdrew them.
"Yeap! But if you let it slip then," he crossed his hand over his throat. He then grinned cheekily, he was only messing around.

"Well, to be quite honest. Im bored outta my skin and pizza seemed a tempting option. And then I came in here and you were alone and the only person I recognised! You see, not to many of us Westers hang around here!"

"Well I must say that I feel like a very special west sider than. Seeing as I was the only teen westsider here before you decided to grace the place with your presense...I must admit that I was also very bored. But for some reason, im not so much right now," she smirked and took a sip of her drink, as the waitress once again returned with Craig's.

[Craig Dice]

He smiled and took a gulp of his coke.
"Yep, this place proberly feels very graced? And yes, I must say Im not so bored anymore myself!" He then rested the half full glass on the table. Resting his chin in his hand.

He seemed relaxed. A feeling Stephy tried to get everyday, but never seemed to. She guessed that was part of the reason she had decided that the pizza parlor was a good place to start. There were never tons of people in there at one time, and it seemed to give off an old diner feel.

Steph smiled in his direction again and said, "So...Care to split a pizza?"

[Craig Dice]

He looked around the place and smiled, it was a rare thing for him to come in here. But he was glad he had decided on the plabe instead of anywhere else. For a start you could actually get decent food and another, it wasn't very crowded. You actually had room to breathe!

"A pizza slipt sounds lovely. What toppings do you ant? Your pick, I will eat almost anything!" He patted his stomache with his hand and grinned.

Steph grabbed the menu from the edge of the table and looked at what they had to offer in pizza toppings. As in any pizza place they had the simple toppings such as pepperoni, cheese, mushrooms etcetera. And then there were the 'exotics' such as anchovies, olives and other, seeingly gross toppings...Or at least to her.

"Well...I'm normally one for a simple topping. Pepperoni and mushoom for me...But i'll go as far as deluxe." She looked up to see what he would say, "How bout I pick one kind and you pick another and we can get a split." She handed him the one menu the waitress had left and waited for his choice.

He watched her scan down the menu, whilst he fiddled with the pepper shaker. Then listened to her suggestions.
"Yea, good idea. Im not too big a fan of Mushrooms!" He griined then took the menu in his hands. His crystal eyes wavered over the toppings until he made up his mind. "I guess I will just go for pepperoni! But Im not that hungry so the size can be your choice too!"

She wasn't much of a big eater so when it came to picking the size of the pizza, it wasn't that hard, "Lets say a small...No one in my family likes mushrooms either so theirs no point in taking it home....Half pepperoni, half pepperoni and mushroom it is!" Getting up off the chair she was sitting on, she went over to the ordering counter to put in the type of pizza they wanted. When she was finished she went back over to the table and sat down, "So...I'm amazed your not out on the town tonight." She said, seeing as everyone else seemed to be, "Or out with a girlfriend or friends"
